August 27, 2010: Last
week was the fast ball, this week's the change-up: an episode
review! I need to get on a schedule with these so let's do that now.
Don't worry, I'm still working feverishly on the next chapter of the
book, too. But chapters are long and consequently they take me a long
time, while episode reviews are less long and take me less time, and I
want to get back to
weekly
updates around here if possible. Sometime soon, chapter 43 of "Tara" will go up, and
it's going straight across the plate with a lot of heat on it. Today,
my
review of "Ted"--yes, that's the one with John Ritter as a robot--is up on the Buffy Season Two reviews page.
August 15, 2010:
The Answer to The Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and
Everything is 42; everybody knows that. Chapter 42
of "Tara" isn't the Answer to any Ultimate Questions, I'm afraid, but
it at least takes us another step closer to an answer. Also, there's a
haunted house, and Barbara Streisand music. There really should have
been a haunted house in Buffy, don't you think? (I mean other than that
spectacularly lame one in "Where the Wild Things Are", also known as
"We Somehow Managed To Make an Episode About Sarah Michelle Gellar
Having Sex Boring".) Well, now there is a haunted house in Buffy, and
Barbara Streisand is pretty scary too, or at least I think so. Chapter
42 of "Tara" is up on the
Stories page, and damn it, from now on let's see if I can't get this thing back to weekly.
